Sunrise for Water Quality Monitoring

Earlier this week I helped the team at RealTech, Inc deploy on of their most advanced water quality monitoring systems at a wastewater plant near Denver, CO. The RealTech PL analyzer system uses multi-spectrum UV and visible light to provide real-time water quality measurement of dissolved BOD, COD and a wide range of other parameters. All of the information collected from the system is continually updated and analyzed in via cloud-based artificial-intelligence (AI) routines to ensure the most accurate and up-to-date results.

In this particular installation the wastewater treatment plan is using online BOD and COD data to help optimize provide real-time optimization of their biological nutrient removal (BNR) proces, with the goal of saving energy and improving performance.
